Did you know…

UPRHSD repowers our ambulances every 200,000 miles. The repower consists of rebuilding the powertrain (engine and transmission), repainting, applying new reflective striping, replacing electrical and warning systems, and costs about $50,000. A new ambulance costs about $165,000; the District saves over $115,000 by increasing the life of our fleet.
